A girl walked down the street, holding her mothers hand. "Mommy?" she asked, pulling on her mother's shirt. She pointed to the sky. "Who is that looking at us? A human?"
"Yes." she said. "They are humans. We are something called tamagotchies." she said.
The Match maker was watching them. "Tomorrow, Susie" she said, writing the name down.
The next day, she walked out the door to her job. She walked to Susie's house. She looked in her book. She pulled out a tamagotchi. "Do you love him?" she would ask, like always. "Yes," every tamagotchi would say.
This time she was surprised. She didn't say yes! The Match maker has finally FAILED in her job! What will she do??? "Okay," she said. "I will come back tomorrow.
She walked home, her little legs walking fast, her hair usually pulled back into a bun, was now down. Everybody on the streets looked at her, as if she had evolved.
"Look at her hair!" everybody would call out. "Whats the matter?" "What hapened?" "Why is your hair down" all kinds of questions were asked. She didn't answer, she just walked away. She walked pass the tamagotchi store, she passed by the game center, she pessed by friend and present list, and everything. She even passed by her house, and didn't even know it. "I failed." she said over and over.
The next day, she had forgotten about the whole thing. She went to her office, to see the people that needed partners today. "5 PEOPLE!?!?!" she yelled at her manager.
"Yes. 5 people. It will be good for you!! And remember, your the only match maker in town! So go out there and do your work!" she sounded nice, like always.
The Match maker went into town, happy like always. She carried her little book with her, and her list. Her hair in a tight bun, she turned around the corner. She looked at the building, and then at her list. "Yup. This is the right adress!" she said, face half happy, and half in disgust. There were spray paint bottles everywhere- and words painted on walls- like..BLOCKED, BLOCKED, BLOCKED, and BLOCKED.
She knocked on the door, and a young tamagotchi came to the door. "What'da want lady?" he asked.
"W-Well....I am the Match maker." she said. She did her thing, and took out a tamagotchi. "D-do you love her?" she asked, shivering. She wasn't cold- but she was scared.
"I do not love her. I love you." he said, coming towards her. "You love her! BYE!" she took out some dust, and threw it on the ground. It gave her just enough time to run away. She did her other visits, and went back to the office.
"Manager, I did not get one...." she said softly. "He-he-he..." she did not know what to say. She tried to say everything she could. She spat and sputtered. The words came out as giberish.
"Look..." the Manager said. "Remember, I plant a vidio camera in your shirt. I saw everything that happened."
All the Match maker did was open her mouth wide. "Oh..." she said fanally. "Okay," and she walked away.
