Nathan smiled. Marion must have either fallen asleep or turned off her tracker! He called in the rest of the crew. They watched as the engine of the enemy ship went up in flames. But just then, the enemy ship came whizzing up and cannoned right into the window. Nathan was knocked flying, but the ship was sturdy so it only got dented. Flora screamed and fell backwards. All of them were slipping towards a large hole in the floor that they all knew led to the food storage area. Sapphire leapt up and started running towards the window. She sailed out, and dived through space until she felt the side of the enemy ship. She found a window and swung herself in. She didn't realise is was the window to Marion's private on-ship lounge, and landed right in the enemy leader's face. "Take that!" shouted Sapphire, using the startled and injured Marotchi's face as a launching pad to get to a hole in the ceiling. She swung herself up onto the next level, where she somehow knew the missile firer was kept. She saw it, and dived at it. Her pink handbag smashed right into the control panel for missile aim and firing, and flew out of the window, bouncing three times on the missile lancher before jamming itself right in the hole where the missiles came out. Sapphire jumped to the control panel, aimed into space, and pressed the button: "FIRE ALL MISSILES". They all kaboomed into the handbag, getting jammed so that the missile firer broke. Sapphire swumg triumphantly back to the damaged Tamari II , where her astonished friend were waiting for her.
Meanwhile, Marion lay, knocked unconscious. Then a mysterious shadow passed her. The perfect snow-white wings of an angel showed, followed by a radiant, glowing head with an amber-encrusted tiara round two white bunches tied with amber ribbons, and a dress so bright you couldn't see what colour it was embroidered with perfect amber stitching and precious stones. The shadow came up to Marion, and took something from her. It was a stone with a picture of Marion engraved on it. Amber held it, her piercing eyes full of fury. Then she plucked an amber stone from her tiara, and pressed it onto Marion's stone. As Amber watched, the stone turned amber and the engraving of Marion melted away. In its place was a glowing carving of Amber.
