Hey guys, I just started my Tamagotchi V1 and after taking what I thought was good care of him, he evolved into Tarakotchi. My training bar was almost full, I gave only few snacks when I had to, kept the weight as low as possible, and never emptied the hearts. There may have been ONE time there was only one heart in both health and happiness but I thought I took well enough care aside from that. What did I do wrong?

(This suggestion is if your V1 tama is the version with IR "Connexion" - I don't know about the original P1/P2 versions)

You would need to take pretty much perfect care to get the best Mimitchi or Mametchi characters on the V1 Connection/Connexion.

Training bar almost full is not enough.

You'd need full training bar (9 out of 9 bars filled) and almost always keep all four Happy Hearts and all four Hungry Hearts full - never letting them drop below 3 out of 4 hearts full (and if so, to fill them after a very short time).

You also need to try to get your tamas toilet trained as they grow up (and - I think, but can't be sure - remember to switch off the light for them at night).

So, if your training bar was not full, and the Happy & Hungry hearts never emptied (but were not always totally full) you could not get the best character but instead were more likely to get a "2nd best" such as Kuchipatchi and Memetchi. Then, depending on how many training bars you filled and how many times your hearts emptied to 3 or below 3 and how quickly you re-filled them (and other variables such as cleaning the screen after poohs and switching off the light at night, then it is definitely possible to get a Tarakotchi.

I kind of like them to be honest, but I can understand it's frustrating when you are hoping for a perfect care character.

Better luck with the next gen :)
