Tamagotchi vs. Pokemon

Hello, I was thinking of starting a roleplay about Tamagotchis and Pokemon. Some people can be Tamas and others can be Pokemon, and they can have battles and contests to see who's best. At first I thought it would be fun, but then I realized tamafans might get angry at pokefans, and vice versa. Could you please tell me what you think? I don't want to start a war.

For example, you're right about being careful not to upset tamafans and pokefans, so it's a good call to ask everyone. But also think about how the story might work in an RP. I can understand how Pokemon could battle in an RP but... tamagotchi characters? The tamagotchi game doesn't really have any "battling" strategy like Pokemon - unless they were "created / imaginary" skills & powers to balance the ones Pokemon have - but then you would have to be careful that some ppl would just go wild with creating special tama skills and you could end up with someone wanting a tama that simply had any skill that would always beat a Pokemon... not explaining this very well, hope you understand what I mean

Anyway, I don't think I will start the roleplay anymore. If people say they like Pokemon more than Tamagotchi I might get mad at them.

I did not think my reply was impolite or disrespectful - it wasn't meant to sound rude and the is something we all use to express silliness (not disgust) - I try to use it when I don't want someone to think I am being totally serious... sorry if you didn't understand that.

I don't think TamaMum was trying to upset you. She was just trying to help you sort everything out. The is used to express playfulness / not seriousness. That's how I use it, anyways.

Oh and alright. Personal opinions differ though! So you shouldn't get mad at someone just because they don't agree with what you believe.
