Tamagotchi v4 changed its name?

I just got new batteries for my tamagotchi v4s and when i was connecting them, suddenly the girl didnt like the boy.(she was giving him bad presents)So i went 2 look in her friend list and their was sammy (the boy) and then there was qammy(?) and a pic. of sammy. so i went on sammys and looked where his name was and it said qammy! i cant beleive this. i had 2 make them friends all over again. WHAT HAPPENED? :lol:

I'm pretty sure it's the name glitch..

Sometimes tamagotchi change their names, like yours did.

I'm also pretty sure that its not reversible.. so yeah, sorry but your stuck with 'qammy'

This is a known problem on the V4. It might fix itself when they wake up, tomorrow morning. Or, this should fix it: press the reset button on the back, then select download from the download/reset menu that appears on the screen.

Yeah, I've had this problem before. My tamagotchi went from Digit to Oigit. Then I connected with my little brother's tama, and his went from Jake to something that I don't remember. It seems to carry through connecting. I tried the reset/download, but that didn't work. It went back to Digit about 3 days later.
