Tamagotchi talking to wierd thing.....

This first started with my 9th generation tamagotchi when it was an adult. My tamagotchi was standing on the right and on the left there was this wierd thing there, it was black and looked like a plant of some sort with eyes and a mouth. It also happened several times with my 10th generation tamagotchi. Has this happened to anyone?

If it started happening in the last week but has stopped now... it was the Tamagotchi's Christmas tree. THe tree has a set of eyes and a mouth that opens and closes will your tama stands there and looks at it.
