Tamagotchi P's IR

Hi guys!

I would love to buy a tamagotchi P's but I really want to install the english patch.

My phone has infrared (Sony Xperia Z1), will that work with the tamagotchi P's?
And which infra red app I would need if it would work

P's doesn't use an app, and you would need a really old phone to wrk

I used a USB infrared thing. It was really simple and only cost a few dollars. It might be cheaper and easier than finding an old phone still working... Thanks for your reaction! This is not really that expensive and finding old phones is kinda hard because they are or expensive or not complete (no battery or no charger etc.)

Absolutely, glad to help. I thought the same thing. I was more worried about trusting that the seller was going to send an actual working phone with everything it needed. I am much more impatient than that! Haha. Only thing with the USB is it is super simple, you wont see the tamagotchi make any type of connect noise when it's first connecting. I have Windows 7 and when I would select connect my PC would tell me that there was another computer nearby and this little icon would pop up on the desktop. At that point you can click on the icon and it will pop up your files etc. You go and select the file that you unzipped, and highlight the patch you want to install...then since the tama has timed out, you will want to try to connect once again. As soon as your PC makes that Whoosh noise you want to click send immediately. If you pause or delay at all and try to send it will freeze. Strangest thing. If you need nay help at all, just let me know.

Thanks for the information, I have not yet decided which one I am going to use since I don't even have the tama itself yet but if I decide to use the usb I am going to need this.
