Why criticize Bandai Japan? They're still making Tamas as far as I know so who cares what other products they make in addition? Bandai America is the one who decides whether or not we get new Tamas in the US. It's pretty pointless to get angry but I understand the feeling. But if you're going to get angry anyway might as well be angry at the one who deserves it. Me, I'm kind of past the point of anger. It doesn't really do any good and all the griping in the world won't change Bandai America's mind. If anything it may make them diig their heels in even more just to spite us.

It's called the Smart Piano Pad. It is an item used in the Tamagotchi anime by the character Pianitchi.

Calm down... it's made for Bandai Japan in the first place and is marketed towards young girls.

They have been making other Tamagotchi-related toys that appear in the anime in the past, so honestly - what's the reason to be mad about? They're selling really well over there.

They won't make anything for the US --- it's Bandai America's responsibility, not theirs.

It's something. I mean, compare Bandai Japan and Bandai America to each other. Bandai America gave up tamagotchis like it was nothing and yet Bandai Japan is eager to make these great tamagotchis and toys for us! I'm with robodog. Why criticize Japan when it's Bandai America's fault for us not (well, maybe some ) having new tamagotchis. We should actually praise Bandai Japan for keeping up their hardwork even if the larger company has given it up. If it sells, why not? It's profit for them and that means cash for tamagotchis right?

To Hell with Bandai America. Who needs them? Japanese Tamagotchis are readily available online at places like Ebay and Amazon, plus several other online shops. So long as Bandai Japan keeps cranking them out Bandai America can just keep crapping out Ben 10 and Power Rangers. Bandai Japan gives us gold. Bandai America gives us garbage. Which is why Bandai America will no longer see one cent of my money again unless they start following Bandai Japan's lead and producing more Tamas. I'm prepared to spend a great deal building a collection of old and new Tamas. That's money that could be going to Bandai America. Instead it will be going to Amazon sellers and Bandai Japan.

As long as Bandai Japan keeps producing Tamas I'll support them. And I'd do the same for Bandai America if they'd come to their senses.

Sorry my point was not criticizing it thats not really what I was trying to say.

I understand where you're coming from. It's frustrating to have Bandai America just ditch Tamagotchi like that and the idea bugs me too. I'm not saying not to be angry. You can't always help that. But if you have to be angry direct your anger appropriately. Bandai Japan is the one responsible for this piano thing and Bandai Japan hasn't abandoned Tamagotchi. If anything this piano thing is a sign of Tamagotchis popularity in Japan. They don't usually make additional merchandise for toys that aren't popular.

Also take note that Bandai Japan and Bandai America are two separate entities - the business of one other does not affect the counterpart.
