Tamagotchi On: Why can't I take a photo?

I'm on my 1st generation, already a teenager.

I go to the item box, special, then camera.

It says, "Ready", I press A and B, one at a time and simultaneously...nothing happens.

I go to notebook then diary then the picture is not saved.

Is this a glitch?

You have to wait until you see your character in their room and then you press either A or B (I can't remember which one). It takes a little bit but not long, after that it will show you the date and the name of your character too.
