Tamagotchi On - How to get your Tamagotchi back if you accidentally closed the app?

I have question, how do you get your tamagotchi back from the app if you accidentally close the app and now you can’t return it to the tamagotchi on

I think you can press C to force a return.

I have the same problem and this is my first Tamagotchi. Is this where Penguin-keeper put the question for the most visibility? Where else should I be looking?
