Tamagotchi On data damaged error message

Has anyone ever gotten this error message before and knows how to fix it? It happens when the Tama first connects to the app. The only mention I can find of it online is here: https://tamatown.com/tamagotchi-meets-app-ban/ but they don't say how to fix it.

If you connected your tama to the MyMeets app it is likely that is the reason.

If I remember correctly this is because the tama has an 'incorrect' gene - there was a broken version of Santaclautchi in earlier versions of the MyMeets app, but it also occurs if your tama has an outline from the Magic Hut location (from etsy) that doesn't match the device.

If it is the outline, you'll just have to change it back.

Is there a way to fix it?

I don't believe so. If the app detects corrupt data, unless you're very tech savvy (unlike myself) it would be hard to fix.
