Tamagotchi On connection issue

Me and my wife just bought the Tamagotchi On, and we’ve been having fun with it. However, while we try to send gift or  use the playdate option, our tamagotchi can’t be connected. Both of our pet are adult now, and we have no issue with visiting each other. Anyone might have a clue on this? Thank you.

Have you pressed the B button while on the connecting screen?  Sometimes it takes a few tries.
