Tamagotchi Mix--getting the battery lid back on

I can't seem to manage to get both sides to go into place at once. Every time I try, one half is sticking up. Is there a video somewhere showing and explaining how you're supposed to put it back on?

You have to apply pressure (or otherwise keep the little plastic rod at the bottom pushed down) so you can slide the lid back into place and get both tabs in at the same time.
