Tamagotchi 2017 or angel?

Hi, I'm considering buying a new tama, but I like it to be a little chalenging, not so simple, but not so demanding. I wonder if I should buy tamagotchi angel or the new anniversary model of 2017. I kind like the idea of getting the latest model. What do you think? And does anybody knows the size difference between these two?

You have to specify which "anniversary 2017" model you mean.

-is it the mini? Don't bother, it's none of the things you described, whatsoever, it's just a keychain.

-is it the Japanese release of P1/P2's? Angel is more exciting than a normal P1/P2 but has the same core principle. I'd stay with Angel instead of getting one of these, besides getting an actual vintage one isn't super expensive.

-Is it either one of the two 20th anniversary mixes? They're the color versions, mind you, so if you're a vintage lover then perhaps that's not for you, though they are based around references of vintage tamagotchis. As a version they do fit your description fairly well, compared to other color tamagotchis. Gift ver is barely different from the first version of it, it just has a few extra minor features and 2 different characters.

I'd say go for either the Angel or maybe one of the Anniversary M!xes.

Thank you for your answer. I meant the new mini, but I guess I will agree with you and stick with angel. I do like color tamagotchis and I have a beloved IdL, so I was gonna get something a little more simple, just to have along with my idl, but not so simple that it sucks. You said there is another 2017 version, where I can find info on it? Thank you

If you mean the 20th Anniversary Tamagotchi Mini, I have to second what Jhud said - they're so incredibly limited that it's not worth it unless you specifically want to show support for the brand outside of Japan.

I went in knowing exactly what to expect, and I was still surprised by how little they do! They offer even less than those pocket-change priced 168-in-1 virtual pets, and all those really do is poop and play games.

If you want one of the older Tamagotchis, definitely go for the Angel over the 2017 Mini.

And does anybody knows the size difference between these two?
