Tama V6

So my girlfriend and I want to get tamagotchis and we decided on v6s so I started looking through here but I couldn't really find what I was looking for. So my main questions are do the outer cases determine the sex of the pet? Also whatever tips about how to do the raising well would be appreciated. I don't really know what I want to know so anything can basically be said here

No, the outer cases say nothing about the gender of the pet. Anyway, they go on to the next generation after about a week (get married and have a baby that you have to take care of).

Well, I'm not writing a complete guide to Tamagotchis right now, but you could look it up on Wikipedia. That should tell you how to use one. And the Tamagotchi instructions that will come with it. I've been using V6s for almost 3 years now so you're welcome to PM me if you want any specific advice once you get it.
