Not very long ago on WIkipedia, I read it somewhere that the Tama Go is made outside of Japan. What do they mean by that? I know it's manufactured in China, but the origin is Japan. But still I don't get what they mean when they say 'outside of Japan'. The article can be found here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamagotchi#Tamagotchi_releases

It essentially means what is available to purchase from shops in other countries, i.e. the TamaTown Tama-Go is the latest release outside of Japan, in the UK, in the US. Where as, in Japan, there are other versions that have not been released elsewhere, i.e. the iD L, which can only be shipped from Japan at the moment.

I've also seen a Tama-Go that has Japanese Characters on it, but now I think I have to look for it so I can prove it. That one could be an Asian Version, because it is by Bandai Asia and also in Japanese characters, Memetchi is spelt wrong on the package, so it says Ma, Me, T, and Chi instead of Me, Me, T and Chi. The back has it right, but the open flap doesn't.

EDIT: Found it.
