Laura the :furawatchi: was so excited to be going to school for the first time with her best friends Koki and Kiko the 
twins. She had brought her backpack filled text books, work books, art supplies and a home packed lunch!
Laura, Koki and Kiko had never gone to school although they were nine. In the Kiwitchi Ranch areas, kids were to be homeschooled until grade 4. And to go to grade four, you had to be nine! Laura's birthday was in the summer.
Koki carried a purse while Kiko carried a duffel bag. The three of them were in a club Laura invented called Sushi. They always ate sushi in the club and played checkers or chess. For them, it was the coolest thing imaginable.
"Look!" Laura shouted, "There it is!" In front of her stood Kiwitchi Ranch elementary school. "C'mon! Let's go in! Let's go in!" Koki shouted, pulling Kiko behind her. The friends walked into the hallways of the brick school.
Laura spotted the room with a glowing sign that said "OFFICE". There was a that had a big list in her arms. "Excuse me. What class are we in?" Laura asked. The secretary's glasses rolled to her nose. "Name." she bellowed. Laura gulped."Uh..Laura...Furitchi" "Koki and Kiko Match" The secretary checked her list. "Class 4 RD22Y, left side of the building!"
"Let's go!" Laura said, rushing to their new class...
