Wow, my school is having a field day with banning things. And some of them are really stupid. Like, we can't even wear sunglasses on top of our heads. :furawatchi: But then they let people run around with like 50,000 piercings, and that's just fine. (I don't mind piercings, but I just think it's ridicules that they would allow something that, and not sunglasses to sit on our heads.)

That's just like saying I can't wear a bracelet on my ankle. Or a ring on my toe. :nazotchi:

My school doesn't allow us to dye our hair, or wear hair pieces. Also, your shorts have to be a certain length too. And, we can't wear spaghetti straps or tanks by themselves. ugggghhhhh!

My school's not too bad.

No jackets inside, no hats on inside. We have a uniform ,so yeah.

we can do whatever we like to our bodies though. Like piercings, fine. Hair dye, fine. Tattoos, fine.. You know, all that.

And mobile phones aren't allowed on school grounds, but teachers let you use them if it's not during class.

Bans: iPods, Hats inside, offensive writing/logos on clothing, revealing clothing and tank tops

We have a uniform.

We can have piercings, but seeings as it's still grades K-7, no one really gets piercings apart from the older kids. I think if someone got their whole face pierced, then the principal would have a talk to that kid.

And we also get told off for not wearing school uniform. If you don't wear it consistently, then they'll talk to your parents. Otherwise you'd just get told off.

We can wear any shoes, any socks, any hair stuff and we can wear our hair down. Oh, but I don't think we'd be aloud to colour our hair any bright colour. So yeah...

Oh, and no jewellery or make-up apart from earings. Haha, people wear it anyway.

Tank tops have to be two finger widths wide, but no one past grade 3 really follow that. Like, really, wake up in the morning, put on a tank top, get two fingers, oops, too small! Get another one... Really it's pointless

We aren't allowed to have DS's, cause of pictochat. Last year, this guy in grade six was swearing so much, and I think there were some little kids on. We are allowed having PSPs which is stupid! A dude put one down his pants, took a picture and showed a buncha people!I don't think we can have off the shoulder tops, but it's an elementary school, so, we don't have to worry much.

We aren't allowed to wear our PJs which sucks!

We have to have our phone off, or in teacher's car during classes, and break D: If you have it on, you get after school detention.

No make up, jewellery, hair dye, or piercings (Including double ear piercings). You get told to take it off/out, get your parents called, detention, etc etc etc.

You have to get uniform passes if you don't have the right uniform.

No iPods or other electronic thingos during class or breaks.

In other words,

Don't have fun, don't try new things and don't be different.

Basically, they've banned everything.

The middle school that I'm going to has uniform. Which sucks.

I think the sister highschool lets you do whatever you want though. There's gangs there. Or was. I dunno (or care, now that i think about it.)

*Just a note, I know how to spell BANS. It was just a typo, lol*

I had to wear a uniform in middle school, but I don't now. It's great, lol. And we're only allowed to use our phones at lunch, outside. And we can't have hoods, or hats, and we have to have our ID's visible at all times. And of course, dress appropriately, which includes no sagging or revealing clothing. No ugly or profane messages on shirts/sweatshirts. And our shirt tails can't go beyond our finger tips.

We aren't allowed short skirts/shorts, even on top of leggings -.- or revealing shirts even though this one girl gets away with it everyday >.>

Have to have our shirts tucked. Most of us dodge that one by wearing jackets over it, some teachers don't care.

Hair cannot be dyed neon. Distraction in class.

No hats. Or hoods on.

No skirts shorter then halfway down your leg.

No tank tops.

No backless shoes.

Pants must be at waist. Or you get a string for suspenders, and because the lady who puts the string on is a complete *****, she makes sure to make the string short to hurt us when we walk. Especially for boys, it cuts into their dingies. For the girls. Basically cameltoeing us. It hurts, and she refuses to loosen the string. Telling us it's OUR fault, sure it might be lady. But thats friggen ABUSE OF POWER.

Otherwise we're pretty good.

The worst ban in my school is that we're not allowed electronics... I guess there's some good sides to that ban though. It lowers the chance of your priceless electronics getting stolen...

We don't really have dumb rules. We just can't wear shirts that show cleavage and no sandals. No offensive material on shirts and normal stuff like that. Electronics are allowed. Some teachers let us listen to our music lololol.

As far as dress code goes:

Skirts/shorts must be longer than your finger tips when arms are fully extended at the sides. (Not bad, that's well above the knee.)

No inappropriate content on clothing. (i.e. swearing / sexual content)

No "spaghetti" straps. (Though you can usually get away with it if you don't have your bra straps hanging out.)

No camoflauge, unless it's for JROTC. (It's a gang symbol. >_> ;; )

No headgear. (i.e. sunglasses, hoods, hats, bandannas)

No clothing with tears. (i.e. ripped jeans, though a lot of times you can get away with it.)

It's not really that bad. And you can usually get away with a lot, too.

Cell phones have to be turned off upon entering the building, though nobody really does. xD

You're not supposed to walk around listening to your iPod. Some teachers let you listen to them during class, but otherwise, you're not supposed to have them out.

My school is pretty good with this type of thing. They're pretty lenient. We're allowed super baggy Tripp pants covered in chains, and they don't care how your hair is. This kid had a mohawk gelled over a foot in the air dyed neon blue before, and the staff really didn't care.

Our school is pretty easy going. No hats, hoods, hair dye, piercings, tattoos, spaghetti straps, shorts that are shorter than mid-thigh, pajamas, clothes with rips, tears or holes, 'excessive makeup or hairstyles', iPods, cell phones.. All that. People break these rules regularly, though.

I have a nose piercing and they've said absolutely nothing about it. Even when I had to tell Mrs. Stallbaumer that I lost the stud in the girls' locker room. xD

People dye their hair weird colors all the time, wear shorts that could pose as underwear, and wear pajamas all the time and get away with it just because they bought it from the school, lol.

lol, we have lots of guys with mohawks at our school, but our hair can't be outrageously colored. We can die our hair any color, but it can't be distracting. They don't care about piercings either. (The amount of the kind.) I've seen almost everything piercing wise. :(
