Stuck at teenager

I have the tamagotchi on blue fairy version, I am on my 11th gen, and I bought the magical room, and now my tamagotchi is 6 years old and stuck at being a teenager, so I can’t get married and keep my family going. Is this a glitch with the game, the magical room, or does anyone know if there’s a way to fix it?????

Try and change the batteries and if it doesn’t work you will have to reset the device
