I thought since this is the last story, I should make it something special. So, this is a poem written by the duo.
Goodbye, Forever
On the last Friday in July,
The Year 6s say goodbye,
To a school of misery and despair,
And goodbye to Gerry the class’s bear
Goodbye to the classroom and their seat,
Goodbye to long hikes and worn out feet,
Goodbye to mush at break and lunch,
Goodbye to carrot sticks they can’t munch
Goodbye to the cloakrooms and the door,
Goodbye to the tatty ceiling and the floor,
Goodbye to their friends, for 6 weeks,
Goodbye to their teacher Mr Seeks
Goodbye to assemblies every day,
Goodbye to the hall at wet play,
Goodbye to the chocolate that they sneak,
Goodbye to the tap’s massive leak
Hello to showing off all the time,
Hello to pushing in the line,
Hello to chewing gum all day long
Hello to no hymn practice, no singing songs!
