We should stand together.
Not discriminate others because of their orientation, color, race, religion, sex, looks, or age.
Why do we do it? In our sociedy today, things have gotten better from the past. But discrimination is still here. And it always will be unless we make a stand.
Have you ever had a discriminatory thought? I know you have; everybody has. They may not notice it, but you do take part in discrimination. It may be a small thing like, "That person is ugly...." or "They came from Africa? Ick..."
Or, it could be something big like, "Oh god....a black person." and when asked to be friends, "Oh no thanks." you say simply because of their color.
We need to give everybody a chance. We can't just assume people are bad because of their religion, color, ect. Everybody is a human being.
Studies show that most young kids only play with white skinned dolls. You're probably thinking, "They're just dolls. Why would it matter the color?" Well, it's a proven fact that in the modern day life people don't believe black people can be 'princess' or 'fairies'.
Do you know who Adolf Hitler is? No? Yes? He was a man who dictated Germany, and led people to believe all Jews were bad. He had a personal grudge against Jews, and ocne he dictated he started to wipe out Jews just for the sake of revenge. He started blaming Jews for every mishaps in Germany; the losing of the war, murders, ect.
Jews were stripped of all their rights and stripped of their freedom. They were often shot or killed on the spot, and thousands were taken to consentration camps. There, the weak (older folks, child) would be sent to gas chambers and the strong were set to work. They often worked long, hard hours, and had very little food and water. Many died of starvation, and even more died of illness. Fiction? Unfortunatly, no.
Why did that discrimination happen? Because of one person hated a certain religion. Is it fair we treat people differently? Not at all! It just proves that discrimination is serious, and can often get out of hand.
What can we do to help? Stick up for others! Don't rise against hatred! Like people for who they are ion the inside, not the outside!
Stand together!
~Note~: This is just something I've been thinking about lately....
