When You're Gone, it's the words, the way Avril sings it and the music video. It's just that the music clip has a guy going off to war and during the middle their family is worrying. They see a big explosion on TV and are crying cause they don't know if he is alive. It's kind of like a protest song.

Dear Mr President, Even though I don't live in America, it is still a very touching song. Everything about it is sad and how kids are dying of poverty and the homeless people are freezing. The first time I saw the music video I nearly cried.
