Earlier today at school, my teacher gave me a note. It was from the vice principal. She said it was super important, so I dicided to take a peek at it. It said that when a kid was riding his bike to school. Then a stranger came & asked him if he needed a lift. The kid politely said no. Then he said he was a "friend of the family" & came out of the car & offered him candy. He politely said no again & quickly went into the school. Then he told the school staff! Whew! That's a lot of typing! Please post ur comments!

Whoa... That is so creepy! People like that should be arrested, and they are being, but not very hastily...

Kids should be aware of the dangers out there, instead of being sheltered and told, "Don't worry, the police are taking care of the bad people!" or anything along the lines of that because you never know who could be the "bad guy". People know they're out there, they can look up the offenders in their area and prevent things like this often.

The kid you were talking about from the note did the right thing, for his own safety.

Eek! We get this kind of stuff around here too. It is disturbing!

ugh........its so....ugh! *shivers* NO ONE should do that like the man did saying he's "a friend" and offering him candy! what a creep! i'm sure the kid didn't believe it and neither should any1 confronted (whoa! big word! lol) with that situation. (another big word! i'm on a role!) i've never been in that situaton! and i'm glad. and i also think that the kid did the right thing.

yes it is kreepy but why did they give YOU a note concerning the matter?

OMG! thats creepy

Good thing the kid was smart enough to say no and tell someone. Every kid should know about the dangers out there, no matter how safe they think their neighbourhood is. My mom always tells me "I would never send someone you didn't know to come pick you up, never." I bet that's probably what your parents would do too.

So if your mom or dad is saying "Be careful, don't talk to strangers," listen because that's some pretty good advice right there. :p

Thats freaky. :p That happened to a kid at my school once. Somebody demanded that he got into the vehicle, and started following the kid. But the kid ran into our school and told the principal. Scary moment....

Lucky your safe. :)

As a prank, I was almost kidnapped. Here's the story: I think I was 7 or 8, and I was riding my bike. All of a sudden this guy in a car pulled up and asked me if I wanted a ride. I screamed and rode down the hill and hid in the bushes near the apartments. :D But the car kept STAYING at my house. i thought he was waiting for me. I cried. A lot. Eventually the car drove away and I got back to my house and told my mom. We were both crying and she called 911. After a little interview with the police, we found out that the "abductor" was my brother's friend, Franky. He was coming to pick my brother up and apparently thought it would be fun while he was waiting to scare young children.

We got a few notices like that when I was in Elementary school. I've since been driven or drove myself to school, and taken the bus on the way home.
