Hi there! My name is Simmie (which what I go by on all fourm sites), but my real name is Samantha. I'm 16 years old, a canadian girl and have been playing with Tamagotchi's since I was about 7 years old.

I actually used to lurk the fourum back in my youngers days when I couldn't sign up and would see all the growth charts/logs, and I always wanted to make one just like them. My favorite thing though, was reading the fanfics.

My love for tamas were rekindled one day when I was looking through my past; I found my V3 Tamagotchi, and my 2 V5's (the familichi's?). I just regret a couple of them getting lost (my music star) and a couple of my tama's getting broken. I remember even trying to repaint the shell with nail polish, lol! I still play neopets activley, though if anyone plays!

The only thing I wonder is; are they still releasing tamagothchis? is Tama-world still active? and most importanly, is this forum still active? <3

Hey, Welcome to TamaTalk! This forum is still active with lots of members

BanDai Japan and BanDai Asia are still releasing Tama's, or at least they have in the past year. BanDai America has given the Tamagotchi Brand to some other company and they have made a Tamagotchi App called Tamagotchi L.I.F.E. It's basically a Tamagotchi based on the original one and there's also an Angelgotchi one. There are also new Tama's called IDL's and P's which are backlit with a full LCD color display, instead of the normal black and white, and they go around $40-50, which is a little pricey, but its worth it.

Hi Hayden! Nice to meetcha. I actually got back into tamas, because I found the app in the first place, then went to dig up old tamagotchi's!

And ID's? P's? This is all so new to me, I left tamagotchi when the v6 came out. :c is there anything new I'd need to know, or be updated about since...2009? 2010?

After the V6 was the TamaTown TamaGo. Its a Tamagotchi which allows you to put figures on top of it to unlock games and items. They only made 12 because it flunked and nobody really bought it and enjoyed it because it was boring without figures. After that, there hasn't been any news about Bandai America, and this year, they closed TamaTown

And yes, the ID L and P's are very new, but they are in Japanese because its by Bandai Japan, although it's very simple to work your way through with the translations on here

There is also an English ID L. which sometimes goes for $200 because they are rare but there are some for $80 on eBay which people pounce on, and in Australia, there are some currently for $70 AUD

Ah, good to know! I'm currently looking though the old days when bandai america made tamas, and all the old guides and stuff. </3

so sad to see stuff go sometimes.

Living in canada it's a /bit/ harder to get tama's, but I'm trying to look around if any old friends have any that I can buy off of them. I mainly want the V2-V6, as it reminds me of my childhood days. <3

but the colour ones; man those look sick. I have a friend in australia, maybe if I get back into it a lot, I should call him up, ehehe! |D
