I tried debugging my tama and well I did it wrong and it broke. what should I tell my brother? (he is nice and sometimes mean)

Tell him that you are exremly sorry, and would be happy to buy him a new one if he wanted.

Don't try to lie and cover it up because if he finds out after you lied he will be even angrier.
