I think the school board/Teachers have no rights to do this~ Even if they are Christian. You should be allowed to bring in anything you want that don't violate the law or dress~code. Who's with me!?

I guess I'm with you but can you explain what was taken away? 'cause I can't say I'm with you when I don't know what was taken away.

It depends.

If it's a disruption to the class- then yes.

I personaly don't like anti-Christ stuff [obviously] but we all have a right to believe what we believe. ;)

I'm not going to rant about it though.

I don't want to think about it. x/

I go to a private school and they dont conviscat my books even if i brang it to school

IM A CATOLIC!!!!

You can pm me if you want

I do believe teachers have every right to take away anti-Christ belongings. :/

I mean, if it's something like a medallion that states Jesus being an evil demon who does nothing but kill innocents (this is just an example), then yes, teachers have every single right to take that away.

But if you mean anti-Christ as in not related to Christianity, ect., then I don't think it's too sensible to take it away, unless you go to a religious school having to do with Christ. And even then, it's not very sensible to take something away that has nothing to do with Christianity, ect.

But you know, that's just my opinion.

There's a difference between atheism and "anti-christ." Anti-christ suggests that the material is actively attempting to discredit christianity. I am in no way a christian, but passing out stuff or promoting that actively puts down another religion (as "Anti-Christ" would suggest) shouldn't be allowed. Anything actively assaulting a religion is also assaulting those people who believe in it, which is the same as being prejudice against them based on their beliefs. Wearing a shirt that says "I'm an Atheist," well, that's what you believe, and that's fine. You aren't forcing it on anyone, and although someone may disagree with you, no one is hurt by the statement. But if you wore a t-shirt or brought a pencil to school that said "CHRISTIANITY IS A LIE," I can see why teachers may want to dispose of that stuff - it's offensive to people who are christians, as you are discrediting something they believe in. They have every right to believe in christianity if they so desire, just as you have a right to be an Atheist if you desire.

Teachers have no right to take away your personal belongings but if there is something distracting their class then they should be allowed to keep it in their desk til the end of the day. If that's what you meant.
