Really confused about my 4u :P

Hey! I am just... really confused about my 4u. I was looking at growth and character charts earlier, and I was going to ask this question as a post to that topic, but I figured it might be too long for a post, so here I am now! I'll just list my questions so they're not all bundled up together and confusing lol

What are skill points?

Where do you see them?

How do you get them?

How can you tell how much happiness your Tama has on the happiness meter?

What is a personality stage?

Why I don't get "naughty" post-adult forms when I (confession!) don't take good care of them?

I'm gonna answer your last question~

The post-adult stages aren't necessarily obtained by taking bad care of them. The only character whose post-adult form has "naughty" in its name is one of Mametchi's.

There are various ways to get the post-adult forms. You can find out most methods on this Wikia page:

Skill points are what is needed to get the adult you want. Hayden posted a list of what gives what skill point here .

Another link that will help in getting skills not essential to getting an adult here.

You can't see how many points you have so it's up to you to keep track for the character you want.

On the first page of the stats screen your happiness level is what goes around the picture of your character. The more colour the happier. The '10 or More/ less than 10' is hard to define. Either have it near fully happy for a good child or near empty for bad.

Personality stage = adult/friend stage. Here you can do whats needed to get Post Adult forms as answered by Eternal Mametchi Fan.
