Questions about Keitai Tama's

Sorry if it has been asked before but I just want to be sure. I currently have a tama connection v2, and I was wondering if it could connect with a Keitai?. What is the big difference with the Keitai compared to a connection v2? appart from it being japanese and that it can connect with japanese cell phones. Do the keitai's have the shop, or is that only for v2's?.

The look pretty neat, but wondering if they are worth it at all. If it can connect then it is worth it to me .

I am trying to find someone who owns one and might be able to answer some of these questions. They look pretty neat, but I don't want to drop money on something that could technically be the same thing but just in japanese and ends up not being compatible with what I currently have .

From what I have heard, yes, Keitais and Connexion/Connection v2 can connect, but you have to select the second ooption on your Keitai and you have to select v1 on your v2! Weird Eh! Yes, the Keitai does have a shop, well...sort of anyway, twice a day the sailsman will appear on your screen and offer you some items. Also, you know how v2 has codes? Well Keitai does too! Lots and lots of them! And, you can get way more items e.g TVs, a desk, magazines, decorations, jars, and some really weird things that no one has worked out what they are yet! And a Keitai has some new characters that v2 doesn't, and some foods that can be unlocked by using passwords, such as squid! I am getting a Keitai next week, so I have done a bit of background research... but more info would be great, I only know the basics of Keitai!
