question about tamatown

i am new to tamagotchis and i was playing on tamatown and got some items.. well i entered them into my tama and they appear in the souvenir section and i can't give them to my tama.... i wanted my tama to play with the toys i got for it, how do i give them to him to play with?

You can only play with items, and souvenirs are only to look at.

when i go on tamagotchitown i get passwords and enter them into my tama and it always sats error !!!!!! wut gives ?? somone please help......thanx
