Don't you hate it when your brand new tamagotchi screen is scratched and the paint peels? I have an easy cheap way to prevent this:
1) Have plastic snack or sandwich bags.
2) Take one, and cut a bottom corner off a little bigger than your tama
3) Slip your tama into the pocket and gather the excess plastic at the back. Make sure it's pulled very tight so you can see the screen clearly.
4) Using a strong tape, tape down the extra plastic at the back of your tamagotchi so it stays together and tight.
I've done this, its rlly easy and it works!
>>>>TIP: You may want to make a new one every so often as the plastic gets beat up and you can't see your screen.
