Pros and Cons about the Music Star

My last tamagotchi ever was a version 4.5 which came with a nifty tree microphone/stand, pc game, mouse pad and 4 adorable little figures that have since been turned into charms.

I loved that little 4.5 with all my heart and then came the time when it ran out of battery. I kept meaning to get my new tama a battery and then I forgot all about the world of tamagotchi and my beloved tamagotchi Misty (I know these names because I kept a tama diary... -.-)...

Now I've fallen back in love with the tamagotchi world (I'm wearing my tamagotchi t-shirt right now!) and have since rediscovered my version 1's, 2's 3's and 4... I can't find my baby 4.5 anywhere... The rest of the tamagotchis are old, scratched and don't' work very well... The version three's buttons fell out...

I cannot find my 4.5 ANYWHERE!! I think it may be safe in its little tree that I remember seeing about 2 weeks ago but now I cant even unearth my tama tree...

Version 6's are here in Australia for $12.00 AUD which is extremely cheap and I want to know your thoughts on the pros and cons of the Music Star Device. SHould I continue searching for my beloved version 4.5 or should I start fresh with a version 6?

I DO NOT want:

People telling me that tamagotchi's suck etc.

telling me that some version is better

off topic discussion

telling me to get any version off ebay etc.

insulting, rude and unfair coments.

Good things about Music Star

Bad things about music star

whether there are jobs and schooling in music star

whether the Music star is a good investment compared to 4.5's

good things about 4.5 (to refresh my memory)

Version 6 compared to 4.5

You can connect Music Star only to another Music Star and V.5.

Good things about Music Star. I like how you can connect the Music Star to Tamagotchi Music City (It's MUCH more interactive than any of the other tamatown's). They also don't seem to run out of battery very quick (I got mine last January (13 months ago) and I've never had to change the battery!

Bad things about music star. It can only connect to V5's, V5.5's, and other music stars and the buttons don't work as well.

whether there are jobs and schooling in music star. Yes but there is only 2 teachers (A preschool teacher and a regular teacher) as well as 3 jobs that any adalt can do.

whether the Music star is a good investment compared to 4.5's. I enjoy the V4.5 more but they are fun and worth the investment!

good things about 4.5 (to refresh my memory). I like how they have lots of jobs, different teachers, mail (In the music star), and the variety of new and different characters!

bad things about 4.5 (see above). It's a bit glitchy (Matchmaker glitch, ball glitch, ext.) but overall I don't have much to say for bad things about the V4.5!

Version 6 compared to 4.5. I like the V4.5 better but I still like the Music Star!

Overal. I thing you should get a Music Star AND keep looking for your V4.5!

thankyou heaps for your detailed opinion TamaLove754, it will help me think of an answer...

I'm not too fond of the only connect with 5 and 5.5 and other music stars, nobody I know has any of these which will make it very hard to find suitable parteners and friends, I'm also worried about whether Music Star is just like the origiinal Tama (Just playing out your life as a pet) or whether it is based on one story and all possible outcomes have to come out of that story, is it possible to play it like the tama I know and love?
