present choice

What does the present choice under the friends listing do? Based on what the directions said, I thought that it was to open or give a present. My presents open on thier own though and I never know when they are going to give one.

There's only certain presents you receive that can be reused such as a ball, bow tie, pencil (those are the common reusable gifts), and those are saved in your "present" category. Things like Jack in the boxes, cake, flowers can't be used again. The gifts are always random.
