Post-matchmaker married, now my Tamagotchi is stuck as a baby?

Hello, I have a V3.

The matchmaker visited my Tama last night and I agreed to marry them. Now it's been well over 12 hours and I still see my old Tama with the new Tama baby. Is this normal? Or is this a bug?

This is normal, the parent stay for I believe 48 hours and they will leave midnight.

Thanks for the help! All I could find was how the baby state is 1 hour, which I already knew. It's really cute how they stay together like that~

Yep, it really is cute, it's called the Parent Stage (https://tamagotchi.fandom.com/wiki/Parent_stage). I love how your Tama feeds the baby also when you feed it, it really is one of my favourite features, and shows such a cute bond between the parent and the newborn. It's also adorable how the baby also shakes it's head if the main Tama refuses something too.

Building up on what @iTamannadi said, the parent will leave on the 2nd midnight since you've had the baby. It will even switch on the light automatically at this time to take one final look at it's child before bidding it farewell (takes about 3 minutes)
