Pets on Tamagotchi V.5

Ok I heard this weird rumar that you can have pets on Tamagotchi V.5

Is that true? I would like to vertify this with my great friends here on TamaTalk. If someone could help me that would be great.

If you assemble a pure-bred family on the V5, they will have a pet. However, the pet will be on-screen only during certain family activities.
