What is an ouija board?

I know they are evil and dangerous but that's pretty much it! Could anyone explain it to me???

Some people (Including me) believe that an Ouija board can contact spirits. It's a board that has letters, numbers, yes, and no written on it, and a glass or cursor thing that a spirit can access and move to answer specific questions you ask them.

The reason people think that these are evil and such is that it opens up a 'portal' or 'rift' that the spirits enter through, and most people don't know how to close the rift, so either the spirits come and don't leave, or the rift stays open and they keep coming through. Also, you don't know if what is coming in is 'good or bad'.

They aren't evil things, really. But yeah, dangerous.

That's how it was explained to me, anyway.

Ouija boards really freak me out, and I will never use one. I'm not sure if they're real or just a stupid little toy, but either way, I've just heard too many freaky stories. They say that the only way to get rid of one is to burn it, but I have heard of people who have burned them and found the board in their house the next day, unharmed. It's also said that you should never play with one by yourself. Freaky, huh?

My mom refuses to get me one, she says that they can release evil spirits in your home. Which I think is cool.

My mom believe's in the super natural, so I am going to find a way to get one in the house and see if anything actually happens. I have my doubts. It's JUST a board.

Ouija boards are SUPPOSED to allow you to contact the dead. But can release unwanted spirits in yur home.

I talked to my mom about them, and she said they're fake.

"I played one with some girls years ago. I moved my hand and noticed one of the girls was really moving it. It's just a board with letters and numbers on it. You can get them absolutely anywhere." - my mom

I have my own Ouija board. I bought mine from Toys R Us. Spooky, huh? ;D

I don't use it often because it really is a bit creepy, but I can still contact a certain spirit who goes by the name of Ted, tells us he is a 56 year old man, refuses to answer any question involving death.. I really don't get too caught up in it a lot.

We believe he's haunting our basement.

My uncle's wife has told us stories about her brother getting possessed from an Ouija board. I believe she's a compulsive liar, as well, but all the same... I've heard a few other creepy stories.
