One of my older tamagotchis is messing up

Hello! I've been a tamagotchi fan since 2012. My first tamagotchi was a green one, v4 I think it is. The second one is probably v4.5 or later, because you have 3 tamagotchis at once. The v4 works like a charm even after all those years. I can't say that about the newer version. The time messes up, and sometimes, all of sudden the option for either download or reset appears. It makes me sad because my dad drove 1 hour away with me just so I could have it. Has this ever happened to anyone?

The one where you have three at once is a v5. And I have heard of people having this kind of an issue with v5's before, yes... It usually means the battery is low from what I know but otherwise it might be a factory defect.
