I had so many dreams that night, all about random things... I guess everything that has been happening lately has got my head all messed up, but who knows. I woke up to the warm sun shining through the blinds of Kimmy's room. My eyes looked at her pink bed but no one was there, Kimmy must have been up already, she was always up early...
Mayla was all I tried to think about all night, but my crazy imagination took over. I was trying to have a dream about my best friend, maybe a memory we had, but stupid pointless thoughts get in the way. I just wanted to see her again one more time, but I guess just not right now.
"Good morning Sudri! Want some breakfast?" she asked, and my head nodded. Her hair was still blond mess, but that was ok with me. She picked me up and put me in her blue house coat pocket as we walked downstairs. The rocking motion made me wanna go back to sleep, but I didn't. Cereal was today's breakfast and I quickly gulpped it down.
"Can I have somemore?" I beeped. "Wow your done already? You must be getting older!" she exclaimed and I smiled. I ate another helping of cereal and gave a loud burp. Kimmy looked at me and laughed.
We had to stick together, Kimmy and I, we only had eachother now. No more the 4 of us, now it's narrowed down to 2. How come they had to leave us? Why did they... Wait, i'm thinking bad again! Must think good.... Must think... Positive, happy, non depressed...
Things were starting to get better now, more into place. Kimmy was going to school again and I was going with her, connecting with new friends. Life was coming back again, and the future looked bright and crystal clear. I know Mayla was watching over me, and Keisha for Kimmy, they were just angels, never leaving us.
After having some lunch with Kimmy and some friends, I started to feel that weird feeling, the one I had when I was evolving. Maybe today I was going to be an adult! I didn't say anything to Kimmy, I just wanted to wait and see if I did. For the whole long hour of lunch, I sat there not saying a thing as Kimmy and her friends talked. The pain was starting to hurt now, until it was gone... Once again my hands were chaning, and I was getting tall, I was now an adult. I beeped in delight as Kimmy looked at me, big blue eyes gleaming.
"Sudri your a mametchi!" she said, and all her friends clapped. I smiled and blushed as the clapping wore down a little. I was an adult now, even better than a teenager... I wonder Mayla would have been if she evolved...
That day was great, and Mayla didn't miss one bit of it!
