Sadly this happens a lot with V3. There is really absolutely nothing you can do about it, sadly! Buying another Tamagotchi is unlikely to help as so many of them have this glitch, you'd be lucky to get one without it.

The best bet is to quickly to the whole parent/grandparent thing as soon as the parent leaves, but even then it sometimes doesn't work.

Don't worry - the glitch is normal and almost certainly will NOT affect any other aspect of your Tamagotchi!

startama is right there are many others expiereincing this glitch and there is not much yuo can do sorry.
