OMG What age do tamas mate at?

Ok i just went to 3 sites that all said mating only happens yrs 5 and up. i have been trying to mate but sence there only 4 maybe thats the reason? Does anyone know? PLEASE help. i am very very VERY confused.

Sometimes Tamagotchies can mate at the age of 4, but they mostly mate at 5+ it really depends on the version.

V1-V2 usually 5-6

V3 usually 4-5

V4 and V4.5 usually 4-5

I would keep connecting though, so then they only need a few connects when they are 4/5.
