my package from hawaii just came. if any of you remember my post a while back, i got a chibi (well, its the mini, but i like to call it chibi :furawatchi: ) for 2 bucks.

so, i open the package, and find a ring box (a very small ring box), and i thought, omg how the heck can a tamagotchi fit in there???

i open it up to and find my chibi...not even taking up half the space of the box...

i started screaming...i picked it up and almost fell down the stairs. keep in mind, i was using the deka for the past couple weeks, so even my id felt tiny...

lol am i crazy? :)

has this happened to anyone else???

ps. i think i have a new favorite tamagotchi :)

Yeah, all the vintage Tamagotchis are pretty much the same size (with the exception of the Osu Mesu...they're about the size of the Connections) but the Chibi is definitely something else. I was pleasantly surprised when I first got mine too. Unfortunately, it didn't keep me interested enough to keep it. :) Maybe someday I'll get a new one, just to have it in my collection and pull it out every once in a while.

Nah. They aren't that tiny guys. They are about the size of the figures that came with the music stars recently. I love mine, I always get Kuchipatchi when I play with it. Its just like an original one, just smaller and one button to do what it needs and no game.

2 dollars is nice. I got mine for $7.99 in a Target store when they were released. I still love it.

Enjoy your new Chibi, but be careful with it. They are not as sturdily built as the other Tamas you're used to. Their shells are pretty thin. If you attach it to your backpack or purse, be careful not to bang it around.

really? well thanks for the heads up. i keep it in a cushioned little box, so it doesn't get any scratches or anything on it. i think that will protect it from shattering...i hope...

The Chibis are supposed to be more like a keychain pet, right? Yeah, I have a vintage Tama, its smaller than connections.... So I wouldn't be surprised haha!

They work great as a zipper pull. As some coats have little holes to hang things from... I put them in a tiny tiny baggy when I do that to protect from the elements of the outdoors.
