Ojitchi - Is he going to die??!!

I have been refusing the matchmaker for a couple of days, and then today my tamagotchi evolved into Ojitchi. Does this mean that I will no longer get the option to have a baby and that he will die of old age?!

How long will he last?! Please help if you know the answer!

he'll last up to an old age, and no, you won't get the matchmaker again. you have to breed with another old timer.
