So I saved up 5000 points for the ticket to China thinking I would get the souvenir...

Instead it gave me the PC password

Did I just waste my gotchi points? (besides from the cute airplane animation)

Yeah, pretty much... Back when TamaTown worked, the plane tickets gave you codes so you could get a postcard and also a souvenir for your tama. Now they're pretty much useless, apart from the animation.
