No, the movie was made to bore people to death. xD I read one book and I don't really understand how it's suppose to be about killing god. I didn't really pay attention though. :/

My mom won't let me see the movie now.And GUESS WHAT?I don't care. The author of the movie wants kids to find their "inner demon" and if the was a God,he should be put to death. If you ask me,I think HE should be put to death!! :D

ANOTHER topic??!! Okay, the books are not that atheistic at all. =/ Really. I've read all three and they are excellent. The "antireligious" parts aren't even that important in the books. I can see how some people might be offended, but those people make WAY TOO BIG OF A DEAL out of them. They're just books. The "God" in them is nothing like our God. :furawatchi: They live in another world. Honestly, if you saw the movie you would think to yourself: "Wow...and that was antireligious how?" I love God and definitely believe in Him, but I also love the books, because they aren't as bad as everyone says. =P

I am not sure what to think about the books or movie but I suppose the ONLY people who should talk about this author and his books/movie are the ones who have actually red the book/seen the movie.

It's just the whle idea of killing God, even if this god is nothing like or God. Also, the man who wrote the book intended it to be an anti-Narnia; he said it himself (I forget where I read it though...) ;)

I thought the books were excellent, and I'm proud to have all of them. The movie also looked pretty good, though I only saw the trailer.

Even if you think the books are sickening, etc, have you tried to read them with an open mind? They're so creative! The writing is amazing! I say please try to read them, because it's a great story.

Oh yeah, agreed 100%. They're amazing stories. I wish people would see things for themselves before they decide to be against it because of what "someone said." True, the last book in the series is a bit antireligious, but the first two are not. It's just....purely amazing writing. If any of you had seen the movie, you would be very ashamed of what you are saying. It has not a TRACE of antireligious elements.
