Hi My brother is considering getting a DSi but I had a quick question first. My sister and I both have the Ninendo DS lite, so if he get the DSi, will the two systems be compatible? We play Aniaml Crossing on them together and connect to visit towns..would we be able to do that if he got the DSi? And would pictochat work? Also, can you put in DS games or is there a new DSi game chip?

I am not entirely sure about pictochat, but I know that DS games will work in the DSi, and I would THINK that you should be able to play Animal Crossing together. But you should wait for a couple more replies before banking on my thought about being able to play AC, seeing as I don't have it yet. But that's how I THINK it'd work.

PictoChat will work. And So will the DS Lite games. There will be some DSi only stuff soon, it's already in Japan. everything, Even your original DS will be compatible with the DSi
