Hey! My name is Blinkeh. For Christmas, I'm getting the connection tamagotchi. I'm sorta new to this whole thing, sorry if my ignorance is a bother, heh.

I've been reading a few sites, and boards amoung this forum..But I have just one or two questions, mind helping? I'd appreciate it! =)

-Can you pick the Tamagotchi character you want? Or how is that determined? I heard you could just keep reseting it till you get what you want or something, maybe theres another way..? I'm interested in the Mametchi, Mimitchi, Toratchi, or Choimetchi. Something along those lines heh. Let me know?

That was actually one question, but it was confusing enough to be two..Haha.

Hello, and welcome to TamaTalk!

Normally, you cannot select the character, but there is one way: Debugging.

Debugging is a trick that you can perform on your Tamagotchi by opening it up, and rubbing a little circle with a led pencil. Doing so, allows you to select the character that you want, and you can fast forward through its life. I have debugged four of my Tamagotchi's, and it is safe. Just be careful with the connecting wire. Click here for information on debugging.

The differences between the Tamagotchi Version One, and the Tamagotchi Version Two, is that the Version Two has more characters, shopping, different shell colours, and different games. I prefer the Version Two myself.

Yes there is another way to get the tamagotchi you want try debugging your tam if yo have v2 it'll probobly workif you want more informaition on debugging you should go to the forum: cheats and codes. The difference between v1 and v2 is on v2 you can go shopping.
