Hello!
I am a tamagotchi fan and have been since they first came out.
My family was pretty poor and my mom always really critical of toys, especially fad like toys, when I was younger, so I never got to get one.
I remember years ago, a girl I knew had a see thru orange tamagotchi, like one of the very first ones...
And I thought it was so pretty, and wanted to find one the exact same ever since lol
Even now, I wish I could find one, and it's been over a decade....I know it's kind of silly.
Anyways, at one point, when the 'fad' (so-called) was dying down a bit, I finally got that gold edition tamagotchi, on clearance for 4 bucks at Zellers. I haven't a clue what happened to it. I know I couldn't get the chickenlike character (I felt it was a chicken lol) or the kuchipatchi I believe, and thought that would be wonderful lol
And the gold paint all came off in spots and then one day the thing disappeared.
That was my only short-lived experience with the original tamagotchi.
Later on, in 2004 I think, I got a tamagotchi connection. I had it about 3 months, and let my friend take care of it, and her friend stole it. Never to be seen again.
Right now I own 2 v4.5s and got them both on clearance, once again at a Zellers store, for 7 bucks each.
I have had them for 2 years, and still play with them. Anyone would probably tell me I'm too old to be playing with these, but I adore them, they pass the time, they are entertaining, I can bring them anywhere...
And going online with codes and such is fun....
Anyways, I still wish I could get an original tama again, that would be sweet!
But...for now, I am here to learn more and chat with people that share the same obsession as I, and probably had more luck getting their hands on tama's
