A good (and very generous) friend of mine recently gave me a large Tamagotchi/Vpet collection, and I've come here to help catalog/value it. I've NO interest in ever selling any of it, but I'd like to organize it, know as much as I can about everything, and add to it over time.

The collection is probably 40% Bandai stuff and 60% other vpets.

Highlights are as follows. ALL vpets are MOC/MIB aside from one single lose Morino Tamagotchi.

Bandai:

-2x US Tamagotchi Ocean

-1 Tamagotchi Mothra

-1 Tama Connection v2

-US Digimon

-1997 Hong Kong Collector's Edition

-Doraemon

-Dorami

-Some Euro-market Tama

Others: (all ~97 vintage)

-4 Giga Pets (including Sabrina the Teenage Witch edition)

-Lost World "Dinosaur Egg" x2

-Nano Kitty and Nano Baby

-2x Dinkie Penguin and 1x Dinkie Dino

-2x "Pocket Turtle"

-2x "Bird Watching"

-2x "Hitorikko"

Lots and lots more. I've already put it all into Excel, and my next step will be to photograph it all and drop it into a special set on Flickr. Eventually, I'd like to build a website to display it all.

Also, I got a ton of other Tama-related material, including 2 boxes of Japanese tama cereal, a tamagotchi 35mm camera, some kind of tama bath soap, and a bunch of other things.

I may potentially want to trade some duplicate items, but I won't even be thinking about that until it's all cataloged and photographed.

He gave me everything because he was running out of space for other stuff and he knows that I like Tamas.

Once I have the Flickr set up, I'll start another thread so that people can help me determine the value of the items and let me know if I have anything exceptional.

I see MOC Giga Pets and Nano Babies going for like $80 on eBay, BIN. Is this real-world pricing? I didn't think the non-Bandai stuff would be worth that much.

Flickr set is now up!

Please comment on the photos if you find something interesting, and if you don't have a Flickr account then feel free to post comments in this thread. I want to generally know if I have anything interesting, anything worth a lot, etc.

Again, I have NO interest in selling, although I may potentially want to trade duplicates for other stuff.

Thanks!!!

..welcome to tamatalk...

..and by the way..cool stuffs...

..you're lucky coz you have given so many tamagotchis!..

Yeah, I was definitely lucky. He collects many things but needed to free up some space. I also have an extensive videogame collection, and he knew I like tamas and would be a good keeper to the collection.

I definitely plan to add to it over time.
