Ha ha. Sorry if you stumbled upon this topic and you were looking for new Tamagotchi Music Star designs Bandai has come up with. Well, this is for a craft. No new designs from Bandai. Leave if you like, read if you want. Wa-la. Okay. You are going to design your own design for a Tamagotchi today! (insert happy cheers here)
Here's what you'll need:
Fabric paint, non-toxic
Several different-sized paint brushes
A Tamagotchi (doesn't matter which version)
And a talent for painting! (Leave now if you don't have one.)
WARNING: Do not use water for this, you'll ruin your Tamagotchi. And another thing; beware that fabric paint will stain your clothes, and possibly won't come off you OR your Tamagotchi if you mess up on painting things. Like, totally mess up.
STEPS TO TAKE: (must-read)
1. Take your Tamagotchi's back shell off, the one covering the battery and the circuit board, etc.
2. Take a base color, a color you would like to have for the background of the shell.
3. Dip your brush very carefully into the paint desired, not smothering the paint brush that the paint is dripping off.
4. Paint lightly on the Tamagotchi. Be extremely careful not to ruin anything on the circuit board, I suggest you cover it with plastic food wrap or something else that won't scratch the board. (Perhaps another Tamagotchi back cover, since you'll be painting the other one SEPARATELY.)
5. Paint the back cover with the base paint.
6. Have the painted surfaces dry, and if you're not pleased with the first layer of paint, add a second layer with the same base color. If you aren't pleased with the color, just use another color.
7. Pick a design you would like to use. Look off of wallpapers, other pieces of art... Anything that sparks your interest. Enjoy painting the rest!
NOTE: You know where you first activate your Tamagotchi by pulling the little tab out? Make sure you get that covered with a little scrap of food wrap you can stick in the slot, and easily pull out; paint might get into the toy.
