Nail Polish: Decorate TMGC!

Ok, I have some ways of..

how to decorate TMGC with only one thing: Nail Polish!!

Note: Read all my post before you start decorating.

• Polish TMGC!!

--- Put a layer of clear nail polish over TMGC's shell. Let the polish dry. Your TMGC will look shiny, and the design will never fade!! Awesome, eh?

• Colour TMGC!!

--- Get some colourful nail polish, and give TMGC a new design or fix his old one!! I reccomend doing this on your TMGC then doing the above tip.

--- Get clear, sparkly nail polish and colour TMGC. You now have a sparkly TMGC!!

--- Want a slightly tinted TMGC screen? Get some translucent nail polish and put a very thin layer on TMGC's screen.

• Colour the buttons!!

--- You can get some nail polish and put a thin layer over the buttons. When you are doing this I reccomend putting TMGC on pause so TMGC won't get sick.

• Screen Protector!!

--- Get some peel-off nail polish and put a layer on TMGC's screen. Let it dry. Now there's a screen protector!!

DO NOT:

-- Put permanent nail polish on TMGC's screen.

-- Put any nail polish on the sides or Infra-red. The nail polish could get into the circuit board.

Umm... it isn't so safe... in long-term use, nail polish will slowly soak to the plastic covering of tama, and then to it's parts... I suggest using special plastic paint (available from craft shops). Nail polish has usually some acetone in it, it's dangerous for electric parts! And, if you're painting tamas all over, did you remember that little hole on the side? Where that plastic sheet was before you pulled it off and started your Tama?

I love decorating tamas, but I'm not recommeding this. Feel free to do what you want, but this is my opinion!

i have 4 tamagotchi connections that i painted with nail polish, two are two years old and two are one year old, and they still work fine you just have to be very careful when doing it! here's how i did it:

1) i unscrewed the back of the tamagotchi, took out the big screw, and painted the back.

2) i unscrewed the four little screws on the inside back and then opened up tha tamagotchi, kind of like i was debugging it. i very CAREFULLY painted the top of the back (not the part where the battery and little screws went) and the side, then after that dried, i very carefully painted the front and the side but NOT the screen. (a little drip of nail polish might end up on your screen but that's okay.) after that dried i put the whole thing back together.

it's very important not to get any nail polish on the inside of your tamagotchi or the infrared sensor. when you're doing the sides you have to be extremely careful, but the effect is totally worth it.

it took me hours to get each Tama painted nice. i did an undercoat of black nailpolish on each of them. then i painted one with green nail polish, one with electric blue nail polish, and one with blue-purple translucent polish. then i put iridescent sparkles over them. for the fourth, after i did the undercoat of black polish, i added a coat of sparkly red polish. they look fantastic and people always ask where i got them!

i tryed that and i had to get completely new tama. you made me waste $15.00!! trust me your nail polish theory DOES NOT WORK.

I always knew there were more uses for nail polsih then simply decorating our nails. But if the boys don't have any sisters or firends with nail polish where they gonna get them if they decide this nail polsih was a good idea I mean they would look funny buying nail polish.

I just might try that someday I have a bottle of clear nail polish.

That's a good idea with the nailpolish! I was going to do that, but my mom made me use paint instead. It looked nice, but I got bored in class one day and starting scratching and I ended up scratching all the paint off!! lol. I was tired of the look anyways!
