My pet ran away :(

I got sick and didn't feed my ID-L pet for a day, so it left me a letter and ran away.

If there anyway to get it back or I have to start raising a new pet? What do I do now?

I don't know about that trick works but if your tama ran away you might as well start a new generation and give a lot of care to him.

That trick (The C and A "trick") allows you to start raising a new generation.

I think that resets everything on your tamagotchi.
